Unioncamere, the Italian Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture, is the public body that unites and officially represents the Italian Chamber system. Founded in 1901, it realizes and manages services and activities of interest to Chambers of Commerce and economic categories, coordinating the initiatives of the System through directives and addresses to the organizations that are part of it. The main areas of action within which Unioncamere supports the Chambers of Commerce in the exercise of their skills at the service of companies concern:

  •  the guarantee of regulation and transparency of the market,
  •  support for internationalization and the promotion of female entrepreneurship,
  •  the diffusion of innovation, research and technology transfer,
  •  the observation of the local economy and the dissemination of economic information,
  •  the creation of school-work alternation paths and the promotion of managerial training,
  •  analysis of the professional needs of companies for work orientation and profession,
  •  protection of industrial property rights,
  •  the study of topics related to administrative decentralization and the promotion of Corporate Social Responsibility.
