According to Eurostat, unemployment rates in January 2020 haven’t shown significant change, staying at relatively low levels. Both the euro area (EA19) and the EU27 seasonally adjusted averages, at around 7.4% and 6.6% respectively, are well received. Specifically, the EU27’s unemployment rate is record-breaking low according to Eurostat's EU monthly unemployment series, which date back to January 2000.
