Skilled agricultural workers

Skilled agricultural workers plan, organise and perform farming operations to grow and harvest field or tree and shrub crops; and to produce a variety of animals and animal products for sale or delivery on a regular basis to wholesale buyers, marketing organisations or at markets. For people to competently undertake the tasks required of them in this occupation, they will usually need to have completed the first-stage of secondary education but in some instances they will need to have completed the second-stage of secondary education, perhaps by undertaking specialised vocational education and training. The types of job associated with this occupation include market gardeners, poultry producers, etc.
