As youth unemployment is continuously on the rise (accounting for up to 17.6% in the EU for August 2020, according to Eurostat), the European Parliament adopted a resolution to compel member states to take actionable measures combating this negative trend.

Parliament also called for more funds for ‘Youth Guarantee’ for 2021-2027, a ban of unpaid internships, traineeships, and apprenticeships, and measures to tackle discrimination, among others.
